The Hike | Austin Johntra

Support Austin and his efforts at National Links Trust’s ‘The Hike at East Potomac’ on Monday, June 10th

I am excited and honored to join National Links Trust in their annual Hike to raise funds for the incredible work that NLT is undertaking to revitalize the three public golf courses in our nation’s capital.

These three courses have had a formative impact on my life, career, and social circle; I couldn’t be more excited to give back by supporting NLT’s mission to positively impact our community and change lives through affordable and accessible municipal golf.

After taking years off from the game, and moving to a city where I knew very few people, East Potomac and Langston Golf Courses became my refuge where I quickly developed lifelong friends, built career opportunities, and learned to enjoy the game of golf again.

I strongly believe that golf’s inherent lessons and experiences in trust, honesty, patience, practice, and dedication can be shared in all aspects of life and that everyone should have the access and opportunity to experience this great game.

“Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad breaks from good shots; you get good breaks from bad shots, but you have to play the ball where it lies.” – Bobby Jones

The National Links Trust’s mission to improve municipal golf here in DC is a big task and they need our support to keep these projects moving forward. Please support me in my efforts to raise funds for the Hike and come cheer me on as I attempt to complete 100 Holes and make as many birdies as possible!
